Introduction

Many users today are seeking hearing aids that combine the sleek design of modern earbuds with the advanced sound-processing of hearing-care devices. Jabra, better known for its earbuds, headsets and audio gear, has entered the hearing-aid space through its Jabra Enhance line.

This review looks at how Jabra’s hearing-aid offering works, what models and features are available, how it compares to its audio-gear legacy, and whether Jabra hearing aids are a solid choice for mild-to-moderate hearing loss. The commentary is based on official specs, independent reviews and consumer feedback.

How Jabra Hearing Aids Work

Jabra’s hearing-aid product line operates under the brand name “Jabra Enhance”. According to Jabra’s site, it provides both over-the-counter (OTC) and prescription-grade hearing solutions.

The devices are ordered online; users complete an online hearing screener or upload an audiogram, choose the device model and receive the unit shipped to them. Setup involves downloading the Jabra Enhance app, pairing the hearing device via Bluetooth or low-energy wireless, and fine-tuning through the app or remote audiology support.

Jabra offers both FDA-regulated OTC hearing aids designed for mild to moderate hearing loss and prescription-level solutions that require professional adjustments. Users with more advanced or complex hearing needs typically require the prescription models.

Because Jabra emerges from a company that also produces high-quality audio gear and owns hearing-aid technology through its group affiliation, its approach blends consumer-electronics design with hearing-care support.

Jabra Hearing Aid Models and Features

Although some product descriptions use general terms like “behind-the-ear”, or BTE, both the Jabra Enhance Select 300 and Select 700 are technically receiver-in-ear (RIE) devices rather than traditional BTE hearing aids. Here are key devices from Jabra’s hearing-aid lineup:

  • Jabra Enhance Select 50R: Entry-level OTC model with basic features.
  • Jabra Enhance Select 300: Mid-tier OTC hearing aid with noise reduction, app control and Bluetooth streaming features.
  • Jabra Enhance Select 700: Advanced model offering smaller form, advanced noise processing and streaming via Bluetooth Low-Energy and Auracast.
  • Jabra Enhance Plus: A self-fitting hybrid device that blends elements of earbuds and hearing aid functionality.

Highlights of their features: all models leverage Jabra’s trademark in-ear or behind-ear styling, include app-based controls, remote audiology tuning and some support for streaming. For example, the Select 700 supports Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast, enabling streaming and broadcast-audio support.

Who It’s Best For

Jabra hearing aids are best for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss who want a stylish hearing device, value streaming and earbud-like design, and are comfortable setting up via an app with remote adjustments rather than frequent in-office visits.

Stand Out Features

Audio-Gear Heritage & Design
Since Jabra is part of the GN Store Nord group (owner of Resound and other hearing-aid tech), the hearing-aid line benefits from strong audio heritage.

Streaming & Connectivity
Models like the 700 support Bluetooth LE Audio, Auracast and direct smartphone control.

Remote Audiology Services
Jabra Enhance devices include remote audio-professional tuning and support for several years.

Self-Fitting Online Experience
Users can order, set up and adjust their device from home with minimal in-office visits.

Sleek Form Factor
Devices are designed to be discreet and comfortable, blending consumer-electronics aesthetics with hearing-aid features.

How to Pair Jabra Earbuds / Hearing Aids

While pairing steps vary slightly by model, the basic process for Jabra Enhance hearing aids is:

  1. Download the Jabra Enhance app on your smartphone (iOS or Android).
  2. Power on the hearing aid device, place it in ear and ensure it is visible to the smartphone via Bluetooth/LE.
  3. Use the app’s “Add device” or “Pair hearing aid” feature and follow on-screen prompts.
  4. For streaming features (where supported), enable Bluetooth LE Audio or Auracast in the smartphone’s settings, then select the hearing aid as the audio output.

Always refer to the included quick-start guide for your specific model.

Common Questions

Where to buy Jabra Enhance hearing aids?
Jabra sells its hearing aids directly through its official website and via approved online partner retailers.

Who makes Jabra hearing aids?
Jabra is owned by GN Store Nord, which also owns hearing-aid specialist companies like ReSound and Beltone.

Is Jabra a real hearing aid?
Yes. Jabra Enhance devices are FDA-regulated OTC hearing aids in many models and offer audiology support, remote programming and advanced features. However, OTC hearing aids are approved only for mild to moderate hearing loss and do not replace clinic-fitted prescription devices required for more severe or complex audiological conditions.

No. Jabra is not owned by JBL. JBL is a separate brand (Harman / Samsung). Jabra is owned by GN Store Nord.

Is Jabra Legit?

Yes. Jabra is accredited by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) with an A+ rating. Customer complaints exist (for example about service or suitability for severe hearing loss) but the company responds and maintains accreditation.

Final Verdict

The Jabra Enhance line offers well-designed hearing-aid solutions that merge consumer audio expertise with professional hearing-care features. For adults with mild to moderate hearing loss, who value sleek form, Bluetooth streaming, app control and remote audiology support, Jabra is a strong contender. Its heritage (via GN Store Nord) adds credibility.

If you need advanced prescription-level tuning, or if you have severe hearing loss, you might still want to compare with dedicated audiology-clinic brands. Overall, Jabra presents a compelling choice for tech-savvy users seeking modern hearing aids.

While some may think these are pricey, by comparison to some they are middle of the road. I have had these over three years and I still came to write my review, think that says it all. I will say that there is a learning curve if you have never had hearing aids before. Using the app to regulate, syncing with your phone etc. I have found the customer service to be better than most companies. If you can swing these in your budget you will be much happier that with the cheap amplifiers that sell for 197.00. Believe me, over time I think I tried them all.

First and foremost, the Jabra Enhance Select 300's are fantastic! My review is going to focus on discrediting the notion that you should go to a local Audiologist / Hearing Aid Store. I made that mistake and spent 2 months going back and forth to that store trying to resolve my many problems that I had. I was so disgusted that I returned them just shy of the 2 month trial period. I did some web surfing and thought I'd give the Jabra's a try. Great price with a 100 day trial period. What did I have to lose? I applied for the financing and was notified immediately. Did the online hearing test and had the hearing aids in 2 days. Immediately was emailed to set up a consultation with a hearing specialist. I gave it 5 days so I could kick the tires on these. I did a Zoom meeting with the Audiologist, had questions for **************** (24 to 48 reply time) and never took more than 2 hours to get back to me. Also, I have tinnitus. My original hearing aid company said that those HA's would address that. They didn't:(... My new Jabra's, have solved that problem. I could go on with much more, but there is really no need. Give these a try and with the return policy, very reasonable price with unmatched quality and customer support it really is a no-risk opportunity. Very happy with these and just as happy I gave these "Over The Counter" HA's a try. They're keepers...
