If you only need contact and deal tracking, HubSpot's own free CRM, Zoho CRM's free plan for 3 users or a shared spreadsheet may be enough. For a paid replacement, Zoho CRM and Pipedrive start at $14 a user a month billed yearly and charge no onboarding fee, and Salesforce fits larger teams that need deep customization. Compare the mid-tier price, because that is where HubSpot's cost jumps.
HubSpot's free CRM and $20 Starter seats are easy to start on. The cost rises at the next step: Sales Hub Professional is $100 a seat a month plus a required $1,500 onboarding fee, and Marketing Hub Professional starts at $890 a month plus $3,000, as listed October 2026.
This guide is for small and midsize teams that want similar contact, pipeline and email tools for less, or with simpler contract terms. Most alternatives here focus on sales; few match HubSpot's marketing tools in one product.
Below are six alternatives, free options, why teams leave HubSpot, and how to cancel without losing the free CRM.
Why people look for HubSpot alternatives
HubSpot’s app is well rated (4.7 on the App Store), but its BBB rating is D- and its Trustpilot score is 1.5 out of 5. The complaints focus on four things:
- Big price jumps and onboarding fees. Starter to Professional goes from $20 to $100 a seat, plus $1,500. Look at: Zoho CRM, Pipedrive or monday CRM.
- Auto-renewals and contracts enforced after a missed cancellation window. Look at: monthly billing on Pipedrive, Zoho or Nutshell while you test.
- Slow support and being passed between teams. Look at: Nutshell, which includes live support on every plan.
- Pressure to upgrade for features gated behind higher tiers.
Free CRM options
- Keep HubSpot’s free CRM. If you cancel paid Hubs, the free CRM stays, with 2 users and 1,000 contacts.
- Zoho CRM Free covers up to 3 users.
- Salesforce Free Suite covers up to 2 users; you must log in every 60 days to keep it.
- A shared spreadsheet can be enough for a solo seller tracking a few dozen deals.

How to choose a HubSpot replacement
- Separate sales from marketing. If you only used Sales Hub, a sales CRM like Pipedrive covers it. If you used Marketing Hub, price an email tool too.
- Price your real team size for two years, including seat minimums and add-ons.
- Check the contract. Look for auto-renewal, refund and downgrade terms before you sign.
- Plan the migration. Export contacts, companies, deals and notes from HubSpot before your paid term ends.
- Run a trial with real data. Import a sample and test email sync and reports.
How to cancel HubSpot
- Export your data first: contacts, companies, deals and any email templates you need.
- In HubSpot, open Account and Billing and turn off auto-renewal before your current term ends.
- Paid features stay on until the end of the term. HubSpot’s terms say payments are non-refundable except in narrow cases, and you cannot downgrade mid-term.
- After the term ends you can keep using the free CRM (2 users, 1,000 contacts).
Per HubSpot’s Customer Terms of Service, checked October 2026.
