It is not one we recommend. MEDVi legitimacy and licensing
MEDVi is a real business that delivers prescriptions, but it is a marketing and membership platform rather than a medical practice. Clinicians at OpenLoop Health and CareGLP Affiliated P.C.s decide whether to prescribe, and three compounding pharmacies (Triad Rx, RedRock Pharmacy and Beaker Pharmacy) fill orders. MEDVi says it has more than 500,000 patients.
There are real red flags. On February 20, 2026, the FDA sent MEDVi a warning letter saying its website showed “MEDVi” on compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide labels, suggesting it made the drugs, and claimed they had the “same active ingredient” as Wegovy, Ozempic, Mounjaro and Zepbound. The FDA said that misbrands the products and gave MEDVi 15 working days to respond. No close-out letter is posted.
MEDVi’s own site discloses that some text and images may be generated or enhanced with AI and that people in its ads may be actors or models. Judge the program on the prescriber, the pharmacy and the written price, not the ads.
MEDVi cost
MEDVi’s GLP-1 page shows “starting at” prices for compounded injections and tablets, but those numbers are inserted from promotional links and aren’t printed in the page text, so the price you see can depend on the ad you clicked. Its FAQ says the first month is a promotional price and refills are “locked in” at a higher full price. Brand-name Wegovy pill, Wegovy injection and Zepbound are listed as a $99 membership plus the medication cost.
All prescriptions are cash pay; MEDVi says insurance may reimburse you for brand-name drugs. Older reviews, including an earlier version of this page, quoted a $99 consultation and plans from $299 and $499 a month; we could not confirm those figures on MEDVi’s current site. Get the refill price at each dose before you pay.
Compounded vs FDA-approved GLP-1s
Wegovy, Ozempic, Zepbound and Mounjaro are FDA approved. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are mixed by pharmacies and are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality, which MEDVi’s own disclaimer states. The FDA declared the semaglutide and tirzepatide shortages over in 2024 and 2025 and announced in February 2026 that it intends to act against non-FDA-approved GLP-1 drugs. Talk with your own doctor before starting any GLP-1, and report side effects to your prescriber.

Lawsuits and complaints
Federal dockets on CourtListener show six lawsuits naming MEDVi LLC filed between May 2025 and April 2026: one in the Southern District of Florida (Siuksta v. MEDVi, closed June 2025) and five in the Central District of California (Starling, James, E.P., J.F. and Bland v. Medvi), which were still open when we checked on October 13, 2026. We have not read the complaints, so we do not describe what each one alleges. Separately, a proposed class action filed in Delaware in November 2025 (Day v. OpenLoop Health Inc.) targets MEDVi’s prescriber network over compounded oral GLP-1 tablets. These are allegations, and none had been decided when we checked.
On Trustpilot, most reviewers praise friendly clinicians and results. One-star reviews (about 12%) center on slow support, charges people didn’t expect, shipping delays and refunds refused under the policy.
How to cancel MEDVi and get a refund
Email [email protected] or use the chat in your patient portal. The request must arrive at least 72 hours before your next billing date, or you’ll be charged for the next cycle. Service continues through the end of the period you paid for.
- Full refund: only if you cancel within 72 hours of starting and received no services, or if a provider disqualifies you for medical reasons.
- Monthly plans: no refund for the month you cancel or earlier months.
- Multi-month plans: refund only for months when no medication shipped.
- Medication: can’t be returned; damaged or wrong items are replaced by the pharmacy.
If you’re charged for something you didn’t authorize, dispute it with your card issuer and file a complaint with your state attorney general.
Who should look elsewhere
If you have insurance or Medicare, start with your own doctor: brand-name GLP-1s may be covered. If you want an online option, Ro and WeightWatchers prescribe only FDA-approved drugs and have no FDA warning letters on file as of October 2026. Anyone who is pregnant, has a history of pancreatitis or certain thyroid cancers, or takes other diabetes medicines should talk with a doctor in person first.
