Steadywise Review

SteadyWise's website is offline and its domain is listed for sale. Before it went dark, the company said it was a referral service, not a debt relief company.

Closing down: SteadyWise

SteadyWise appears to be out of business

SteadyWise's website now forwards to a domain-for-sale page, its other domain is no longer registered, and its site has not been archived since August 2025. If you enrolled, keep records of payments and contact your state attorney general or the CFPB. See our current debt relief picks.

Our verdict

As of October 2026 we can't confirm that SteadyWise is still operating: steadywise.com forwards to a GoDaddy for-sale page, gosteadywise.com is no longer registered, and the BBB profile for Gosteadywise, LLC is unrated and under review. In early 2025 the site sold a debt settlement program with fees of 15% to 29% of enrolled debt, but by August 2025 its disclaimer said it was a recommendation engine that passes you to third-party debt settlement companies and lenders. If you are a current client, find out which company actually holds your contract and your deposit account. If you are shopping for debt help, pick a provider you can verify today.

Under the FTC Telemarketing Sales Rule, a debt settlement company that sells by phone can't collect a fee until it has settled at least one of your debts and you have made a payment under that settlement.

SteadyWise, step by step

  1. Find your contract

Look at your enrollment agreement to see which company you actually signed with, since SteadyWise said in 2025 that services were provided by independent partners.

  2. Contact the deposit account provider

Debt settlement savings sit in a dedicated account held by a third-party provider. Ask it for your balance, the fees taken and how to close the account.

  3. Check each creditor

Call your creditors or pull your free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com to see which accounts were settled and which are still past due.

  4. Stop payments if no one answers

If no company responds, you can stop automatic deposits through your bank and withdraw the money left in your account, minus any earned fees.

  5. File a complaint

Report problems to the CFPB, the FTC, your state attorney general and, for Nevada companies, the Nevada Financial Institutions Division.

SteadyWise legitimacy and licensing

SteadyWise was a real business: the BBB lists Gosteadywise, LLC at 10845 Griffith Peak Dr in Las Vegas with a business start date of January 22, 2024. But we can’t call it a safe choice today. As of October 12, 2026, steadywise.com forwards to a GoDaddy page offering the domain for sale, gosteadywise.com is no longer registered, and the BBB profile is unrated with a note that no report is available.

There are other warning signs. Trustpilot removed the profile for lunadebtrelief.com, the brand’s former domain, saying the business goes against its guidelines. We also could not find a state registration or NMLS record we could open to confirm licensing. Nevada requires debt management and debt settlement companies to register with its Financial Institutions Division through NMLS.

SteadyWise business status

Not as far as anyone can check online. The last archived copy of steadywise.com we could find is from August 2025. By October 2026 the domain was parked for sale, and the older gosteadywise.com address had lapsed entirely. The brand appears to have started as Luna Debt Relief: lunadebtrelief.com forwarded to steadywise.com in early 2025, and that old domain was re-registered by an unrelated party in March 2026.

The phone numbers on the archived site were 855-780-0395 and 888-861-5862. We did not call them, so we can’t say whether they still reach the company.

How SteadyWise worked, and how that changed

In February 2025 SteadyWise presented itself as a debt settlement company. You stopped paying your unsecured creditors, saved money in a dedicated account, and its negotiators offered creditors lump sums for less than the balance. It listed credit cards, personal loans, lines of credit, medical bills, collections, repossessions, business debts and some student debts as eligible, and said programs usually took 24 to 48 months.

By August 2025 the same site said SteadyWise was “not a debt relief company, lender, or financial services provider” but a recommendation engine that connects you with third-party debt settlement companies, personal loan lenders and nonprofit debt management plans, which set their own fees and terms. That matters: the company you talked to may not be the company that signed your contract.

SteadyWise fees

The February 2025 site said program fees ran from 15% to 29% of the total enrolled debt, depending on your state. It also said clients who made every payment saved an average of 50% before fees and 21% to 35% after fees. On $20,000 of enrolled debt, a 25% fee would be $5,000 on top of the settlements.

Fees were supposed to be charged only after a settlement, which federal rules require for settlement companies that sell by phone. Your dedicated account provider usually charges its own monthly fee as well. Once SteadyWise became a referral service, it said any costs would be disclosed by the partner you enrolled with.

SteadyWise complaints

There are no complaints naming SteadyWise or Luna Debt Relief in the CFPB public complaint database, and the BBB profile shows no complaint record because it is under review. That does not prove a clean record: a company with few clients, or one that passes customers to partners, may simply not be named in complaints. ConsumerAffairs keeps a SteadyWise page, but it blocked our access, so we could not check its reviews.

If you enrolled and now can’t reach anyone, see the steps above. Most of your money should be in a dedicated account in your name, which you can close.

The rules that protect you

The FTC’s Telemarketing Sales Rule bars debt settlement companies that sell by phone from charging fees before they settle at least one debt and you make a payment under that settlement. The money in your dedicated account belongs to you, and you can withdraw from the program at any time and get back the balance, minus fees already earned.

The CFPB warns that settlement can hurt your credit scores, creditors can sue while you are saving, and late fees on unsettled debts can wipe out the savings. Check any company’s license through NMLS Consumer Access and your state regulator before you sign.

Who should avoid SteadyWise

Anyone looking for debt help now. With no working website, a domain for sale and no licensing record we could verify, there is no reliable way to know who would handle your money. A nonprofit credit counseling agency can review your options for free, and established settlement firms publish their fees, licenses and complaint records.

Alternatives to SteadyWise

  • InCharge Debt Solutions A nonprofit debt management plan lowers card interest and keeps accounts in good standing, without the credit damage of settlement. Read review
  • National Debt Relief If you still want debt settlement, a large, BBB-accredited firm that publishes its fee range and results is easier to check. Read review
  • Pacific Debt Relief A settlement company operating since 2002 that lists its NMLS number and state registrations. Read review
  • Call your card issuers yourself Many issuers offer hardship plans or lump-sum settlements directly, which costs nothing in fees.

Frequently asked questions

Is SteadyWise a legitimate company?

It was a registered business, Gosteadywise, LLC in Las Vegas, according to the BBB. As of October 2026 its website is offline, its domain is for sale and its BBB profile is unrated, so we can't confirm it is still operating.

Is SteadyWise out of business?

We can't confirm a closure, but steadywise.com now forwards to a GoDaddy for-sale page and gosteadywise.com is no longer registered. The last archived copy of its website is from August 2025.

Is SteadyWise the same as Luna Debt Relief?

It appears so. The lunadebtrelief.com domain forwarded to steadywise.com in early 2025. That domain was re-registered by an unrelated party in March 2026, so a site at that address now is not the same company.

How much did SteadyWise charge?

Its February 2025 website listed fees of 15% to 29% of enrolled debt, depending on your state. Later it said partner companies set and disclose their own fees.

What is SteadyWise's BBB rating?

The BBB lists Gosteadywise, LLC as not rated and not accredited, with a note that its information is being updated and no report is available.

Does SteadyWise have complaints?

There are no complaints naming it in the CFPB database as of October 12, 2026. Trustpilot removed the Luna Debt Relief profile for breaking its guidelines, so there are no public Trustpilot reviews to check.

Was SteadyWise a debt settlement company or a lead generator?

Both, at different times. In early 2025 it described its own settlement program; by August 2025 its disclaimer said it was a recommendation engine that refers you to third-party settlement companies and lenders.

I enrolled with SteadyWise and can't reach anyone. What should I do?

Find your agreement to see which company you signed with, then contact the dedicated account provider to check your balance and close the account if needed. Confirm with each creditor which debts were settled, and file a complaint with the CFPB and your state attorney general.

Can I get my money back from a debt settlement account?

Under the FTC rule, the money in your dedicated account is yours and you can withdraw from the program at any time and receive the balance, minus fees already earned for settled debts.

Will debt settlement hurt my credit?

Usually, yes. You stop paying creditors while you save, so accounts go late or into collections, and settled accounts are reported as paid for less than owed. The CFPB also warns creditors can sue during the program.
