Download and install
Download the installer from your account and run the setup wizard; it installs to Program Files and stores data in your Documents folder.
Add family members and records
Create profiles, then log issues, doctor visits, medications, lab results, scans and expenses.
Set plans and reminders
Build medication schedules and care reminders; FaMedic sends email reminders and exports PDF timetables.
Back up and cancel
Copy your data folder to a backup drive regularly. Cancel in your account before renewal, since charges aren't refunded.
FaMedic legitimacy and licensing
FaMedic is a real, downloadable program sold at famedic.net by System Elements FZ-LLC, registered at an address in the Al Hamra Industrial Zone of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. Its installer is signed with a certificate in that company’s name.
It’s also very new and hard to vet. The famedic.net domain was registered in January 2025, the Trustpilot profile has no reviews, there’s no BBB file, and the only reviews are four testimonials on its own site. Note that famedic.com is a separate parked domain listed for sale; use famedic.net. We couldn’t confirm the company’s registration in the UAE’s public records.

FaMedic lists $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, with unlimited family members and every module included. The optional AI features use your own OpenAI API key, so any usage is billed by OpenAI on top.
The trial terms are inconsistent: the pricing page promises 14 days with no credit card, while the installation guide says 7 days and asks for payment details, after which a monthly fee is charged. The terms of use say plans renew automatically and that no refunds are given, even for partial periods.
What FaMedic does
FaMedic is a desktop program with modules for family members, health issues, a records timeline, doctors and clinics, treatments, medication plans with email reminders, lab tests with a watchlist for values outside ranges you set, radiology files, medical expenses and care reminders. Medication schedules export as PDF timetables.
All data is saved in a folder on your computer, which you can move to an encrypted USB drive. The license covers one machine, and there’s no phone app or automatic sync.

Privacy and the AI features
FaMedic says it doesn’t collect, transmit or store your health data. If you connect ChatGPT, anything you send through it goes to OpenAI under OpenAI’s terms. FaMedic’s help pages describe AI-generated treatment plans and predictions of health issues; treat these as general information only. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before changing any medication or treatment, and don’t rely on the app for emergencies.
Because nothing is stored in the cloud, a failed hard drive or lost USB stick can mean lost records. Back up the data folder regularly.
Cancellation and refunds
