It is a legitimate, long-running fleet telematics company: BBB rates it A+ and has accredited it since 2007, its ELD Complete is on the FMCSA list of registered ELDs, and Trustpilot shows 4.4 out of 5 from 265 reviews. The tradeoff is that you can't see a price until you book a demo, and its lifetime device warranty and free device refresh only apply on contracts of 36 months or longer, so read the term and renewal language before you sign.

  1. Book a demo

    Fill in the Get Pricing or demo form. A sales rep scopes your fleet size, vehicles, equipment and which modules you need.

  2. Get a quote and contract

    You receive a per-vehicle software price plus hardware. Ask for the term length, renewal terms and cancellation rules before signing.

  3. Install hardware

    GPS Insight's install team or a partner fits trackers, cameras and ELD devices. Some vehicles can use factory OEM telematics with no device.

  4. Onboard and train

    A dedicated account manager sets up the portal, alerts, geofences and reports, with ongoing training.

  5. Run and renew

    Managers use the web portal and Manager app, drivers use the driver and ELD apps. At renewal, 36+ month terms qualify for a device refresh.

Yes. GPS Insight was created in 2004 and is based at 7201 E. Henkel Way in Scottsdale, Arizona. Private equity firm Accel-KKR bought it in May 2021 and merged it with two of its other fleet companies, InSight Mobile Data and Rhino Fleet Tracking. It has since added Certified Tracking Solutions (Titan GPS), ServiceBridge, ClearPathGPS and FieldAware.

GPS Insight cost

GPS Insight doesn’t publish prices. Every product page leads to a Get Pricing or demo form, and the quote depends on fleet size, the devices you need (plug-in, hardwired, asset trackers, cameras, ELD) and which software modules you add.

The pricing detail it does publish is about contract length. Its lifetime device warranty and free device refresh both apply only to customers with a contract of 36 months or more. Ask for the per-vehicle software fee, hardware and install charges, term length, auto-renewal terms and early cancellation cost in writing, and compare at least two quotes.

GPS Insight’s website terms cover only the site itself; the service contract comes with your quote. Since its device perks are tied to 36+ month terms, expect a multi-year agreement unless you negotiate otherwise. Before signing, confirm whether the term renews automatically, how much notice you must give, whether you own or return the hardware, and what you owe if you cancel early. Get any month-to-month promise from a sales rep added to the written order.

ELD rules and why the registry matters

Most interstate commercial drivers who must keep records of duty status have to use an ELD that is on the FMCSA registered list. FMCSA can remove devices that fail to meet the rules, and carriers then have to replace them. GPS Insight ELD Complete is on the list as of October 2026. Who should skip GPS Insight

Owners of a few vehicles who only want to see where trucks are will likely pay less with a published-price, no-contract tracker such as Linxup or OneStep GPS. Fleets that want to avoid a three-year commitment, or that rely heavily on mobile apps, should compare Samsara’s and Motive’s driver apps before choosing.
