React Health (3B Medical) legitimacy and licensing
Yes, it is a real company, but its 2026 regulatory record matters. 3B Medical renamed itself React Health in May 2022; the legal entity is still 3B Medical, Inc., and it is based in Dublin, Ohio. Its CPAP and BPAP machines are designed and made by BMC Medical Co., Ltd. in Beijing, which holds the FDA clearances, and React Health imports them and handles complaints. The original Luna CPAP and Auto CPAP system was cleared under 510(k) K153387 in 2016.
The BBB rates React Health C with 3 complaints in three years. React Health also sells oxygen concentrators and ventilators; its ventilator line, formerly VOCSN by Ventec Life Systems, has had several FDA recalls, including two in 2026.
FDA warning letters and the Luna G3 recall
On May 20, 2026 the FDA sent a warning letter to BMC Medical saying the G3 X APAP (G4600) is adulterated and misbranded because design, material and firmware changes to the cleared Luna system required a new 510(k) that was never submitted. The changes included new event detection algorithms, a modified sound abatement system and a new circuit board chip. We found no new 510(k) for the G3 X in FDA’s database as of October 12, 2026. The same day, the FDA sent React Health a warning letter citing complaint handling and quality system violations, including complaints that were cancelled instead of investigated.
Separately, the FDA classified a Luna G3 APAP (model LG3600) recall as Class I, its most serious type, on August 19, 2026. Firmware G3-2.00.76 contained debug code that could make the machine show an error and shut down when high pressure, high breathing rate and high peak flow happen at the same time. BMC updated 20,160 units in late 2024 without telling customers, and up to 196 units could not be confirmed as fixed. Affected devices were distributed from October 29, 2024 to July 6, 2026. BMC says it has received no complaints or serious adverse reports tied to the error.
If you own a Luna G3
Check your serial number on BMC’s recall lookup page, linked from the FDA notice. If your machine is affected, contact your equipment supplier for a replacement. The FDA notice says to keep using the device as prescribed until you get a replacement, because stopping CPAP therapy carries its own risks. Talk to your doctor if you have questions, and report any problem to FDA MedWatch.

React Health CPAP prices
React Health does not sell to patients directly. In October 2026, CPAP.com and The CPAP Shop listed the G3 X at $873 and The CPAP Shop listed the TravelPAP at $825, compared with $1,004 for the ResMed AirSense 11 AutoSet. The older Luna G3 Auto listing at CPAP.com now redirects to the homepage. You need a prescription. If you have insurance or Medicare, ask an in-network supplier first, since your plan may cover the machine.
React Health CPAP models
The G3 X APAP is marketed as the first standard-size U.S. PAP built without polyurethane sound-abatement foam, the material at the center of Philips’ 2021 recall. It weighs 3.75 pounds, runs 4 to 20 cmH2O, includes a 360 ml heated humidifier and heated tubing, and carries a 5-year warranty. The G3 APAP has a cellular modem as standard. The TravelPAP weighs 14.1 ounces, runs CPAP or auto CPAP, and can use an optional 12V DC adapter in a car or RV.
Who should skip React Health
If a clean regulatory record and broad supplier support matter most, a ResMed machine is the safer pick right now, even at a higher price. React Health can still make sense on a budget, but ask your sleep doctor and supplier about the warning letters, the recall and how they would handle a replacement before you buy.
Alternatives to React Health

- CPAP.com A large online retailer if you are paying cash and want to compare machines side by side. Read review
- Insurance or Medicare through a supplier Often the lowest out-of-pocket route if your plan covers CPAP through an in-network supplier.
