Quick verdict

If Verizon covers you well, Visible is the better value for most single-line buyers: its $25 base plan matches US Mobile's Unlimited Starter, and Visible+ adds priority data and 5G Ultra Wideband for $35 a month, or $30 with code 5OFF5, against $44 for US Mobile's Unlimited Premium. Visible also includes unlimited hotspot at capped speeds and a 15-day free trial that does not touch your current line. US Mobile is the stronger choice if Verizon is weak where you live, since it also sells T-Mobile and AT&T service and lets you switch in the app, and its annual Starter plan is cheaper in the first year at $199. US Mobile also offers phone support, which Visible does not.

Price: base plans, priority plans and annual deals

At the entry level the two are even. US Mobile Unlimited Starter and the base Visible plan are both $25 a month with taxes and fees included, and Visible’s FRESHSTART code takes new members to $20 a month for the first 12 months.

The gap opens on priority data. US Mobile’s Unlimited Premium is $44 a month. Visible+ is $35 a month, and $30 for 5 years with code 5OFF5; Visible+ Pro is $45, or $40 with the same code. For priority data on Verizon, Visible+ is the cheaper route by $9 to $14 a month.

Annual plans favor US Mobile in year one. Starter is $199 for the first year and Premium $299, renewing at $270 and $390. Visible’s annual plans are $275, $375 and $450, and Visible says annual plans are not refunded after activation. US Mobile also has an annual Unlimited Flex plan at $210 a year with 10GB of high-speed data.

For light users, US Mobile is the only one with a small plan: Light is $10 a month for 2GB. Visible has nothing under $25. US Mobile’s plans page notes that the included taxes and fees may cover a $2 service fee and a recovery fee of $1 to $5 per line. Neither carrier requires a contract.

Networks: one carrier or three

This is the main difference. Visible is owned by Verizon and runs only on Verizon’s 5G and 4G LTE network. US Mobile resells all three national networks under its own names: Warp (Verizon), Light Speed (T-Mobile) and Dark Star (AT&T). You pick one at signup and can move your line in the app. The first two network transfers are free, then $2 each, and transfers are free on Unlimited Premium. A Multi-Network add-on for $10 a month gives one line access to a second network.

That flexibility matters if Verizon is weak at your home or job, or if you travel between areas where different carriers are stronger. If you already know Verizon is your best network, the choice gets simpler, and Visible’s lower price for priority data usually wins.

US Mobile’s free trial is a good way to compare networks: new customers who transfer a number to Dark Star or Warp get 30 days with 30GB of data. Visible’s 15-day trial runs on an eSIM-capable phone with a temporary number, so you can test Verizon without moving your line.

Priority data, hotspot and 5G

Both base plans are deprioritized. US Mobile Starter can slow during congestion on every network and slows after 70GB on Warp and Light Speed, according to BestPhonePlans. Visible’s base plan footnote says your data may be temporarily slower than other traffic at busy times, with no threshold listed.

For priority data, Visible+ and Visible+ Pro include unlimited premium data, which Visible says means no slowdowns due to prioritization, plus access to Verizon’s 5G Ultra Wideband network, which the base plan lacks. US Mobile Premium gets priority on Warp and Dark Star but stays deprioritized on Light Speed.

Hotspot works differently. Visible gives unlimited hotspot data on every plan but caps the speed at 5 Mbps on the base plan, 10 Mbps on Visible+ and 15 Mbps on Visible+ Pro. US Mobile gives a full-speed allowance instead: Starter includes 20GB on Dark Star and 10GB on Warp and Light Speed, and Premium includes 50GB on Warp and Light Speed and more on Dark Star.

Video on base Visible is capped at 480p, with up to 1080p on Visible+ and 4K on Visible+ Pro on 5G Ultra Wideband. US Mobile’s plans page does not list video limits.

International use, multiple lines and phones

Travel. US Mobile Unlimited Premium includes 20GB of roaming data in 180+ countries, and Starter includes 1GB. Visible sells Global Pass from $5 a day; Visible+ includes one Global Pass day a month and Visible+ Pro two. Visible+ and Visible+ Pro also include talk, text and 2GB a day of high-speed data while roaming in Mexico and Canada. All Visible plans include unlimited talk and text to Mexico and Canada from the US, and Visible+ Pro adds up to 500 minutes a month to 85+ countries.

Multiple lines. Neither offers a classic family discount. US Mobile has no multi-line discounts, but three or more monthly Unlimited Premium lines earn one perk worth up to $15 a month for a subscription. Visible ended its Party Pay group pricing in 2022 and now sells single-line accounts.

Phones and eSIM. Both support eSIM activation and let you keep your number. Visible says you can bring an unlocked, compatible phone and also sells phones with Affirm financing. Visible adds smartwatch service for $10 a month, included on Visible+ Pro.

Support and customer ratings

Neither has stores. US Mobile offers live chat in its app and website, email and phone support, according to BestPhonePlans. Visible is chat-first, with 24/7 chat on its website plus messaging through X and Facebook Messenger, and no published phone line.

Ratings are mixed for both. US Mobile rates 4.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot from 7,360 reviews, but the BBB gives US Mobile LLC an F with 101 complaints in three years; negative reviews often describe activation, number transfer and account suspension problems. Visible rates 4.1 on Trustpilot from 9,104 reviews, and the BBB rates Visible Service, LLC a D with 706 complaints in three years, from a much larger customer base. Neither is BBB accredited.

On the App Store, Visible’s app rates 4.6 from about 239,000 ratings and US Mobile’s 4.1 from about 1,900. In J.D. Power’s 2026 Wireless Carrier Satisfaction Study (Volume 2), Visible scored 708, second among the prepaid brands named; US Mobile was not among the reported scores.
